Separation

It is one of life’s painful sorrows

There is nothing as heart wrenching

Seems like time suspended

 I had no earthly hopes

No more passion, thoughts and delight;

 In loneliness I recite psalms

It is separation true minds evoke.   

 With what lyrics can i convey?

What has embraced my chest?

Our groan love laid in havoc rest!

How i express what apt hey?

 Every broken fragment of our love!

Symbolizes a broken heart!

 For what Yusuf and Zulaykha being a part!

Today the sun may shine but how?

 Our silent cries are insufficient;

Even to console our separation!

They are dancing with delight, with winery celebrations!

Strike us with the sword of hatred being innocent!

 Oh, almighty we met the grievous shock on this edge!

Our devotional mark has blasted and we are alive!

Separation hewed our hearts in campus hive!

For festoon their celebration, our blood they fetch!

 Oh, master of the universe let me know....

Don't we belong to one religion?

One book, one prophet and why separation?

Our blue eyes are bashed!

  We are ashamed!
