Srinagar, December 3: Accusing National Conference Patron, Farooq Abdullah of making provocative statements to disturb peace between India and Pakistan, former finance minister and senior leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Tariq Hamed Karra on Wednesday said that incase war breaks out between the two nations , Kashmiris will be the sufferers and Abdullah will be responsible for it.

“People have to understand his double standards. Farooq Abdullah stressed in the all party meet that India should adopt same policy with Pakistan, which Israel has adopted with Lebanon,” Karra told journalists after submitting nomination papers from Srinagar’s Batmaloo constituency that will go for polls during the last phase of seven phase assembly elections in the state on December 24.

“Though other leaders pleaded restraint, Farooq Abdullah went to the extent of saying that Pakistan administered Kashmir should be bombarded to wipe off the terrorism,” he added

Karra said that the hostility between the two neighboring nations is not interest of any one especially the people of Jammu Kashmir who will be the worst sufferers incase war breaks out. He said if such situation arises, Farooq Abdullah will be responsible for that.

“His provocative statements will turn Kashmir into a battleground between India and Pakistan,” Karra said, adding “Instead of hostilities the two countries should jointly probe the Mumbai terror attack,”

Karra said that it was NC patron who gave a statement that if he comes to power, he’ll give 8 lakh kanals to the Shrine Board
