Super league all set to knock at Polo ground

Srinagar, July 18: The anticipated Super Division League will hit the Srinagar’s Polo Ground on 21st of the month.
The teams like JK Bank, JK Police, JK Forest, SRTC, R&B, Maharaja Sports, Iqbal Sports Food & Supplies XI will be featuring the league thus increasing the chances of exciting tussles between the teams. All the matches of the league will be played at Polo Ground keeping in view the ground condition and other required facilities.
On the opening day of the league Young Maharaja will clash with Bilalia Sports and JK bank will be head to head with Zahid Sports. On 22nd Jahangir Sports will lock horns with Solina A while as JK Police will be eyeing to over power Maharaja Sports on the same day. Young Lal Chowk and Safalo A will vie for the honours on the next day and the day will witness another match between JK Forest and Food & Supplies XI.
On 24th Arafat Sports will fight it out with Young Iqbal and SRTC XI will rub shoulders with R&B XI. Jhelum Sports and Solina A and Iqbal sports and JK Bank are going to be the teams which will try to bag the marbles on the 25th of this month.
On one side when Jahangir Sports will be eyeing to drub Bilalia Sports, Zahid Sports will be batting it out with JK Police on 26th. On 27th Young Lal Chowk will clash with Young Maharaja while as Food & Supplies will be shoulder to shoulder with Maharaja Sports. JK Forest and SRTC XI will face each other on 28th and on the same day Bilalai Sports will fight it out with Safalo A.
Back in Junior Division League, Sultan Sports and Alamdar Sports, Shaheen Sports and Sir Syed Club, Silver Sports and Super Soccer, Madina Sports and Naunihal, Royal Sports and National Dalgate, Burn Hall and AFC, Milat Sports and Crescent Red, Young Mohammadin and Makhdoomia Sports are going to vie for the honours on 21st of this month at Islamia College, TRC ground, Eidgah and Natipora respectively with two matches at each ground.
The action in the junior league will continue on 22nd when Blossom and AL-Bila, Safalo B and YMCA, Isaat XI and Late Yakoob, Chinar Sports and JK Academy, Friends Jamalata and Kashmir Sports, Young Madina and Gazi Sports, Majid Sports and Azam Sports, Novelty Blue and Soccer Boys will be fighting it out to move forward for the next challenge at Natipora, Islamia College, TRC and Eidgah respectively with two matches at each ground.
Similarly, Madina Sports and Solina B, Court Road and Al-Furqan, Najam ports and Sheikh-ul-Alam, Kashmir Mughals and Hilal Sports, Milat Sports and Green Sports, and Al-Hilal and Young Batamaloo, Leaders Club and Makhdoomia Sports, Sir Syed and Young Chinkral Mohalla will be battling it out with each other on 23rd of this month.
Thursday roundup: In A Division Football League matches played at Polo Ground on Thursday, Arafat Sports defeated Jhelum Sports by two goals to nil while as Jahangir Sports overpowered Young Lal Chowk by a solitary goal in another exciter of the day.
Tourist Reception Centre witnessed two encounters in B Division League. In the first match Sheikh-ul-Alam Sports and AFC played 1-1 draw while as Regal Sports trounced Novelty sports thanks to their one of the forwards solitary goal.
In Islamia College of science and Commerce, Kashmir Sports marched along into the league by nailing Zahidain Sports 1-0 at the college ground.  Majid sports were the second triumphant team at the ground who beat Young Madina by a margin of three goals.
At Natipora ground, YFC registered a one goal win over Madina Sports whereas Solina B emerged victorious by same margin over Court Road.
Royal Sports Hawal were among the losing teams of the day who were over powered by Super Soccer Barzulla by a solitary goal at Eidgah football ground. However the second tussle at the ground aroused cheers from the spectators as Young Mohammadin registered a 3-0 win over Leaders Club despite the later losing by a good margin.
The soccer fever continued in other parts of the valley as well. Hilal FC powered into the semifinal of the district Budgam football championship by handing out a 2-0 defeat to Young Star FC.
The leagues that started July 10 this month are being organised by the Jammu Kashmir Football Association.
