Winter vacations announced

Jammu, December 03: The Government has ordered that all the educational institutions including recognized private schools of Kashmir division (excluding Ladakh region) and also those falling in the winter zones of Jammu division shall observe winter vacations as under:
Class Ist to 8th : From 8th December 2008 to ending February 2009
Class 9th to 12th : From 15th December 2008 to ending February 2009
Any default in observance of the calendar of vacations so authorized shall attract action under rules applicable on the subject, the order said.
