Intl' Press exhibition concludes in Tehran

Tehran,December 02: The 15th International Press and News Agencies Exhibition concluded here with  great response and appreciation from the attending delegates.The exhibition was inaugurated on 17 of November with the motto for this year international exhibition being 'Upholding Content and Bolstering Professional Journalism'.

A total of 27 countries participated in the event including Italy, Pakistan, Turkey, China, India, Japan, Iraq, France, Palestine, and Venezuela.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of culture and Islamic guidance, Alireza Malekan, "the event is being successfully held independently from the International Book Exhibition," he said.

"Holding such event is the best opportunity for reviewing public views and evaluating the responses about the mass media," Malekan added.

A participant from Egypt was optimistic about the event: "ongoing International Press and News Agencies Exhibition could further promote ties between Iran and other Muslim countries in the world."

"Such events provide more information about the different newspapers in the world," said another participant from Afghanistan, Sultan Ali.

Visitor to the exhibition, Najma, a student of communication while expressing her views said, "It was useful for me to visit the exhibition in which media across the world is participating and this will give a chance to the Iranian media to be developed further."

Najma said, "We need more such exhibitions and it would be better if educational exhibition like this will also be held in Iran. The students want to excel in different fields and particularly in the field of journalism."
