Muree, July 21 : Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said that no decision on Kashmir dispute would be acceptable without taking into account the wishes of Kashmiri people.
“Kashmiris have suffered a lot and their aspirations must be honoured,” Musharraf who is holidaying at the Muree hills for the last two days told Sardar Attique Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan-administered Kashmir who called on him Monday.
Musharraf recalled his role for highlighting the Kashmir dispute at regional and international forums. He also lauded the services of Sardar Attique for the socio-economic uplift of the people of PaK.
He stressed the need for speedy repatriation of the people affected by the 2005 earthquake and the Mangla Dam project.
Attique briefed President Musharraf about the ongoing process of rehabilitation of the quake-hit people and appreciated the role of federal government for the reconstruction of affected areas. Musharraf on the occasion said that the government of PaK would be provided timely funds to make this part of Kashmir “model for the world community.”
