CAPD distributes ration during curfew hours

According to Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department today kept its ration depots open in the city during the curfew hours to enable the rationees who have not taken the ration for the month of August 2008 draw it from the sale depots.

The Director CAPD said that the ration for the month of August 2008 has already been released to the sale depots and today more than 20 trucks of food grains were dispatched to various city sale depots. He said the officers of the department monitored the functioning of sale depots during curfew hours at various places in the city.

He said that the department has also released 60,000 quintals of food grains out of the quota of September 2008 to various districts in the Valley.
